What's in my Box? December PV Unboxing

After an amazing month at home in New Brunswick, I’m glad to be back in Toronto and to settle into some kind of a routine besides ‘eat-drink-sleep-repeat’. Upon my return, I was excited to find my little pink Petit Vour subscription box waiting for me on the corner of my bed. For those of you unfamiliar with Petit Vour, they are an online retailer that states they’ve “done the dirty work, so you can have the cleanest, most ethically-made luxury beauty at your fingertips”. Everything that they sell is non-toxic and vegan. It is also one of the few subscription boxes of its kind that ships to Canada.

As a relative newcomer to green beauty, I thought that this box would be a great way to try out new brands and products that I wouldn’t otherwise have access to. So far, I’ve been really pleased with the makeup and skincare I’ve received, and have found things that I will definitely repurchase.

In this month’s box, I received:

A 5ml Oille Hair Serum Volumizing Intelligence sample, intended as a pre-shampoo root treatment

A 3ml Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Shower Oil sample

A 30ml Shamanuti Activated Charcoal Cleanser

A full-size Juice Beauty Luminous Lip Crayon in the shade 28 Salinas, a brick-y red colour

I can’t wait to dig into these products and try them out. My only qualm is that the full-size Red Apple Lipstick I was sent in a recent box is a similar shade of red, one that I would not normally be drawn to. However, I have tried a few things from Juice Beauty in the past and been impressed with their performance, so maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised! Lately I’ve been really into aromatherapy oils from Canadian brand Saje, so I expect that the shower oil will be another hit.
